Below are some of my favourite artists from a book I found focussing on art activism:
LISA ANNE AUERBACH:
I love how she’s taken something so traditionally feminine and turned it into this strong feminist statement.

BLUE NOSES GROUP:
I like this artist because he used photography in a kind of inappropriate shocking way that reminded me of the punk movements manifesto, which is something I’d like to try through my own work. They’re also just funny.
KENNARD PHILLIPPS:
This sort of editing is just so funny and clever. I wonder if I could experiment with some editing instead of the actual photos being shocking incase I can’t safely/reasonably do what I want to due to being in uni, or even just for some variety in my zine.
SARAH MAPLE:
I loved the message this artist was putting across, especially in this culture it’s such a brave but important thing to do.
